La Grande Distribuzione Organizzata può dare un contributo notevole alla minimizzazione dei rifiuti in quanto può influenzare, per esempio, le politiche di packaging, e può aiutare a far crescere nei consumatori una coscienza ambientale nell’esercizio delle loro scelte d’acquisto.
Con l’obiettivo di individuare utili riferimenti per lo sviluppo delle azioni di progetto e valorizzare le buone pratiche realizzate con successo in altri contesti territoriali, l’Azione 3 del progetto NO WASTE ha individuato le migliori esperienze italiane ed europee di riduzione dei rifiuti nel settore del commercio e del riuso che sono state analizzate in una serie di incontri di scambio di buone pratiche e di networking.
Sono quindi stati pianificati e gestiti incontri tra i referenti delle Best Practices e partner locali con l’obiettivo di evidenziare i diversi punti di vista dei vari stakeholder.

Questa fase è stata molto utile per cominciare a definire una prima bozza del Piano di riduzione dei rifiuti per la GDO.
E’ stata quindi svolta un’intensa attività di project networking allo scopo di sviluppare uno strumento che supporti una continuità di contatti e di possibili sinergie tra gli attori; a tal fine è stata creata una piattaforma virtuale dedicata allo scambio di informazioni e approfondimenti coordinati dal responsabile dell’azione. Questo strumento è ospitato nel sito web del progetto.

MRCs can give a significant contribution to waste minimization as it can affect, for example, the policies of packaging, and can help to grow in consumers an environmental conscience in their shopping choices.
With the objective to identifying useful references for the development of design actions and promote good practices successfully implemented in other territories, NO WASTE Action 3 has identified the best Italian and European experiences in the issue of waste reduction and reuse in MRCs; these experiences were analyzed in a series of meetings for exchange and networking of best practices.
Meetings between BP representatives and local authorities partners have been planned and managed with the aim of highlighting the different points of view of the various stakeholders.

This phase has been very useful in order to define a first draft of the waste reduction Plan for the MRCs.
A strong activity of project networking has been carried out with the aims at developing a tool supporting a continuation of contacts and possible synergies among actors; for this purpose a virtual platform dedicated to exchange information and deeper analysis to be coordinated by the responsible of the action has been produced This tool is linked to the project’s website.
